County CDM Deadline Extension

The Entry Deadline for the Cherokee County 4-H CDM Competition has been extended until December 16, 2008. To register please send an email with the names and ages of competitors to Willie at wrarnwine@ag.tamu.edu.

The County CDM Competition

This year's County CDM Competition is scheduled for Tuesday, January 6, 2009. The contest should only take approximately 1-2 hours to complete. Location of this contest is yet to be determined. Junior, Intermediate, and Senior teams and individuals who place highest at the county level will advance to the district level of competition. All competitors who qualify to advance to District MUST REGISTER FOR THE DISTRICT 4-H COMPETITION ON-LINE VIA 4-H CONNECT BY FRIDAY JANUARY 9TH.

The District Competition will be held at the Texas AgriLife Extension District 5 Headquarters in Overton, Texas on January 20, 2009.

About the project...

The Consumer Decision-Making Contest is a competitive event that enables 4-H’ers to practice making decisions based on information about a situation and four available marketplace options.

This contest is an opportunity to practice marketplace knowledge and skills and to compare personal decisions with the decisions from a panel of judges who are knowledgeable about today’s marketplace and its various goods and services.
